About Us

Founded in 1980 in the living room of Pastors William and Ruth Defibaugh, Bedford County Christian Church began as a humble gathering and grew into a vibrant ministry. In 1983, the church purchased and transformed a former chicken coop into the sanctuary we worship in today that is now Once Community Christian Church.

Through an extraordinary act of God, two congregations—North Spring Christian Church and our original fellowship Bedford County Chrisitan Church—came together after a devastating fire at North Spring. Today, under the leadership of Pastors William Defibaugh II and Rick Hall, we are united as One Community Christian Church, fulfilling God’s purpose together.

To maintain a place for worship of the one true God, to exalt Jesus Christ, to honor the Holy Spirit, and to share the Gospel locally and globally. We strive to evangelize, disciple, and serve with love.
